Hi, Hey, Hello!

Hi, Hey, Hello!

So it came to my attention this week that I have never really formally introduced myself I just jumped straight on into this blogging thing properly in April last year.

So the Sparknote version, my name is Sophie, I am coming ever closer to turning 22 and I graduated uni last July in English (still haven’t figured that whole job thing out yet though). I Instagram too many pictures of my dog, I tweet in song lyrics and quotes maybe more than I should. I start too many sentences with the word ‘so’ and I overuse parentheses and I am terrible with titles. My blog title is the  end of a Churchill quote and I made a bad Queen pun with my sub-title thing.

This blog was spawned as part of Creative Writing society in my second year of uni, so 2012, and then one day I decided that if I wanted to be a writer, and a become a better writer in the process of it all, then I should create a schedule and stick to it….I then didn’t blog for two months…

So (see, proving two of the Sparknotes facts accidentally all at once) then I made the decision again and this time I stuck to it. The early content I might finally tidy up and see if I am happy with it or just outright get rid of it over the next few weeks, because while fun to see that my writing has (hopefully) improved over the past two and a bit years there is a lot that I would change about them now.

Content wise this place is a mix of both my own writing and then little updates about my life or another interest I have (so the usual). I usually update on Sundays and this is me signing off on this purple clouded almost Sunday evening.

Parentheses count: 4.  See you next week!

Sophie, twenty-something, avid reader, writer, really good at watching whole seasons of TV shows in one weekend and using 10 words where 5 will do, overzealous user of the ellipsis and parentheses, starts too many sentences with ‘and’ and ‘so’, living in a continual state of Wanderlust.
