Lush Chat 3

Hi, Hey, Hello!

Happy Monday. How are we all today? Good I hope. Anyway today, as the title suggests, I am coming at you with another little review of a Lush haul that actually happened all the way back around Christmas. I acquired quite a lot of little things as I found myself in the possession of two seasonal gift sets, and then a new fresh face mask and cream because my relationship with Skin Drink has officially reached a close. Now, not all the products that I got are gonna be reviewed in this, mainly because I haven’t actually used them and therefore do not have an opinion on them other than what they smell like. So another one of these will be coming (probably not until next month though). Anyway, on with it I get.

Lush gift sets, fresh face mask, moisturiser
Lush Chat 3, Winter Garden, Home For Christmas, Brazened Honey, Celestial

Rose Jam – I ended up with two of these in the end because both gift sets came equipped with a small tube of the rose coloured stuff.  I mean it does what it says on the tin. It’s a shower gel. It smells a bit like Turkish delight which takes a bit of getting used to at first, but only because I am so used my usual Aussie shower gels. The consistency is great and it lathers up really nice which I enjoy in the bleary eyed mornings because anything that makes the mornings less bleak is a winner. I have just started my second tube of the stuff and then I will have a reassessment. It takes a lot for me to stray from Aussie products because they are my go to products. Or maybe I will try on another Lush shower gel out if anyone has any suggestions for me?

Dream Cream – This little tub arrived in Home for Christmas and arrived came in handy when I ran out of my usual moisturiser in the middle of the week and was therefore sans anything. I am used to my good old trusty Vaseline Cocoa Body Butter (these products so far just seem to be taking me from my usual, that changes after this one I promise) which means that I had a bit of an iffy relationship with this product. It was thinner than I am used to and that took a bit of adapting because it meant that I was unsure as to how much I needed per limb. I got there eventually but even then it still didn’t feel all that moisturising for me. I still had dry patches by lunch which doesn’t tend to happen with my usual lotion (which I was finally reunited with this morning, I had to have a weird substitute that I didn’t like for 3 weeks). Also it smelled a bit too musky for my liking, I mean it was pleasant/decent enough, but not something that I would want to return to anytime soon.

Brazened Honey –  So you know me, I love a face mask. It has become a staple of my Sunday routine and my Cup o’Coffee was running low so I was in the market for a new one. I basically read the word honey and thought ‘ah okay this will be nice’ and I was kind of disappointed…It was thicker than I was expecting first of all, which actually wasn’t a bad thing at first. But then the following week it somehow got thicker and then became really hard to apply. It was almost solid by the time that I came to pretty much the end of the pot and increasingly harder to apply to my face so I ended using a lot more just to get full coverage. It also crumbled really easily when it was so I didn’t necessarily feel like it was doing it’s thing…however that did make removing it easy as it pretty much just fell off my face in chunks. But overall, I wasn’t fan and I have stricken it totally off my list.

Celestial – Like I said I have officially broken up with Skin Drink I confess I didn’t even finish the tub that I had, it remained 1/4 full in the end. So I thought I would give this one a try, it was my alternate the first time I went to buy a facial moisturiser but I didn’t pick it…Well I did this time and so far it is an improvement. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy and actually feels hydrating, which was what was lacking with the other one. It’s also a bit thicker than I was expecting, which I like. It psychologically makes me think that it is more hydrating (I so know it doesn’t work like that, but shush) because it is quite a thick formula. It smells really nice as well, which cannot be underestimated. I am definitely a fan of this product and will probably return to it.

And that’s it for this post. Like I said earlier, there will be another one of this in the next month so because I have acquired a back log of products over the past few weeks.

Do any of you have experience with products? What are your thoughts on them? Also, any Lush recommendations, I am always looking for a reason to visit the Lush website!?
