Hi, Hey, Hello!
Yet another little collection of some of my favourite posts that are housed on this here blog.
The Library – This was my first post on the blog all the way back in 2012. It came out of a prompt from Creative Writing Society and I think that prompt is in the title. And I would still 100% write something based on Beauty and the Beast if someone said write something about a library. And I would also quite like to rewrite this whole thing because there are parts of this that makes me cringe a little. I guess that might be a good thing…? I dunno, all I know is that I would probably make some changes to it.
Snapshot 20 – See I did pick it this time. The one that started everything off at some point last year (if not 2014, I have temporarily misplaced the notebook that could tell me precisely). And well I am still dining out on these characters, so this has a lot of answer for and also a lot I should probably thank it for.
My Life in Books (sort of) – The fascinating thing about reading this back is that it is one of those posts that I wouldn’t make any huge changes to. The ones about my childhood are resolute, they are a permanent thing for me and I loved having that little trip back down memory lane. And the last two are interesting to me because they would now be the same book. I had a minor falling out with The Fault in Our Stars recently and although I do still love The Secret History (now that I have FINALLY finished it) and could definitely read it again and again, I would now say that my answer to those questions is now The Night Circus (followed closely by The Book Thief).
Why I Write – Seems fitting given the theme for the week here on the blog.
Dear Me – Again kind of fitting for the week. And also fascinating how even though this is less than a year old how different things are now. Like actually having it put into context like that is fascinating to see. So, yeah. I’m kinda proud of it, even though things are different now.
Anywho, done for today and my second little collection of faves.
Parentheses count: 4. See you tomorrow!
