It’s pretty much the end of another month and that means it is time for yet another playlist.
Last Year Was Complicated came out this month and I have been loving it so far. I grew a mad appreciation for this song before the album dropped and I loved it and upon hearing the whole thing it is still one of my stand out faves.
Now this is my favourite song off the album. And I honestly could not tell you why. I am just full on obsessed with it. It has very rarely been off repeat since it came out which was like the beginning of the month or something. I just really like it.
I love it when OneRepublic come back with new stuff and this song is so good. I have missed them and am happy to have this song exist.
This song grew on me. In a good way. It’s a great song.
I think it might have something to do with the fact that its Glasto this weekend and as such Radio 1 reminded me that Beyoncé headlined 5 years ago now and did so with this song. And well, it’s a bloody classic and never ceases to make me want to get up and dance.
Look, sometimes you just gotta love a good solid pop song and Shawn Mendes knows how to produce those.
This is an old song I know, but I watched Panic at Radio 1’s Big Weekend and then around the same time I was reminded that this song exists and it’s one of my faves and once I was on that train of thought this happened.
8) Aaron Tveit
Right, I am fully aware that it is ridiculous to put a single person as a song, but he sings so many damn songs in this video that his name is just easier. For some reason it’s like I remembered he was a really good singer or something. I dunno, Aaron Tveit falls under the same category as Jeremy Jordan in that I am always aware of them and a huge fan but then sometimes I fall into this YouTube vortex where I just watch videos of them singing for hours on end and regret nothing (see the intro to yesterday’s post for proof of that). Anyway, Nice and Slow…personal highlight.
Look I may or may not have watched him sing this song in several different videos one after the other and then listen to it on repeat on my walk from the train station to the office the last few days of this week. I mean I won’t confirm or deny it…(at least this has an actual song title name).
I can take or leave the version with Sean Paul, but Little Mix also know how to make a really good solid pop song. I sort of didn’t care about this song when I listened to the whole album because others stood out more to me, but eventually it just hit me and now I will always jam to this song. Also the harmonies in this version. Slay.
June’s playlist done.
