Run Dry

Hi, Hey, Hello!

I’ve run in to a bit of a problem. The well has been run dry.

The ideas well that is. I don’t quite know why, maybe it’s the fact that the sun is out and something about summer changes the way that I think about things. Maybe it’s because I am more tired than usual because that whole insomnia thing is just rearing it’s ugly head again and work is draining me. It’s basically a bit of an odd time and one in which the final weeks of August are suffering here on the blog.

And I mean only up until the end of this month, after that is just fine:

I mean that’s what I am left with for September and October (it’s actually 61 now because things have been published since this tweet). I know what they are. And think that fact is my downfall. My mind is focused on all the things that I have ahead of me and not really focusing on the present, blog wise. As in between now and the 31st of August (because that post has already been written…whaaaaa?).

So as such, I cannot guarantee that there will be a new posts 5 days a week (because even though there is a post on Saturday, it doesn’t really count). Mainly because I just don’t want to churn out posts that I hate or am only partially, or not at all, proud of. Nor do I wanna hate it, because there is nothing worse than dreading opening a ‘new post’ tab and then just doing everything but writing a post because there is just nothing there.

And yeah, that’s where I’m at right now. There are a couple of things that I know will be posted between now and the 31st, but there are no other certainties.

Parentheses count: 3. See you whenever…
