Letters to Autumn: The 2016 Edition 30

Dear Autumn,

I’ve come to the realisation that I have to get back into a certain level of blog preparedness. I’ve been relatively lucky for the last two months in that I have known what is supposed to be put up on this blog every day for the last 61 days. And well, before that I was on a blogging hiatus because I just couldn’t seem to generate content. I had fallen into a rut and now I’m fast approaching the end of knowing what is coming on here and am going to have to start actually coming up with my own ideas again…

Which is fine and is what I signed up for when I decided to upkeep a blog and it’s whatever. It’s just, as I have already mentioned, I am in a bit of a creative drought right now which doesn’t seem to bode well for the fact that soon I am going to have come up with my own ideas again…

I mean the good news is is that I only need to generate new content 5 days of the week instead of 7, but still 5 days…that seems like a mountain right now. It also doesn’t help that I’ve decided Nano was a good idea next month and that I also need to channel some sort of energy into that and also be more prepared on this blog to ensure that it doesn’t fall by the wayside, because if there is one thing I am good at it is dropping the ball with something and then forgetting to pick it back up for a while.

I’m also not going to get stupid about it though because if something’s gotta give then it’s gotta give and let’s be real with my level of organisational skills and the fact that I am easily distracted and a massive procrastinator there is a chance that will  happen before the year ends…if not before November ends.

I’ve been prepared-ish though. It helps that I had a bit of a book back log and so can just schedule them up and there are a few other bits and bobs that I can slot into the next couple of weeks, so I have bought myself some time before I fully fall back into the world of free falling with ideas and posts which is useful. Although given the way time seems to be moving right now this time will pass at a lightning speed.

For now though, I have a small cushion. I have one more letter to write to you my dear Autumn, I have an outline to right, I have editing to do (yes, still there is a lot there) and ice cream to eat.

So, until tomorrow.

Love,
