November Playlist

Hi, Hey, Hello!

You know the drill by this point. We’ve somehow reached the final Sunday of the month and that means I have another playlist for ya!

Let’s begin shall we?

1) So Good – Louisa Johnson

To be honest with you, this song sort of speaks to me. I have had many a night that was going to be ‘just one drink’ and has ended up with me getting home at 3am with a pizza (in my uni days) or ending up trying to figure out which route home still has a train running or if I have to get a cab home (these days). Getting through the next day is never not just a little bit rough.

2) Lane Boy – Twenty One Pilots

When you hear a song on the radio roughly 4 times a day it starts to grow on you. And before you know that part that you thought was really fast and was almost impossible to understand you can mime along to perfectly.

3) Sensual – Neiked

I don’t even know what it is that I like about this song, but every time I hear it I can’t help but love it just a little bit.

4) Rockabye – Clean Bandit

This grew on me. Something about the end though gets me. It draws me in and I think that is what I like about it.

5) My Shot – Hamilton Mixtape

Bet ya thought I was done with anything that including the words ‘Hamilton’ didn’t you. Well you would be wrong. The Mixtape keeps dropping fire surprises and I cannot wait for the whole thing on Friday. I love the whole thing, but honestly Busta Rhymes’ whole verse is the shit, and that final line…ugh. It’s everything.

6) Waving Through a Window – Dear Evan Hansen

No surprise that I have managed to sneak a Broadway song in on the list as a rather last minute entry. I’ve loved Ben Splatt for a while now and listening to him slay this vocal is delightful. Plus the music is written by two of my faves in Pasek and Paul. I was always gonna love this.

7) Wrote My Way Out – Hamilton Mixtape

Again totally insanely clever verses and Aloe Blacc’s vocals on the chorus honestly made me stop in my tracks the first time I heard it. This has slowly become my pre and post gym song because it just gets you motivated as hell.

8) Private Show – Little MixPrivate Show – Little Mix

Hey look, Little Mix released a new album and I am very much enjoying it right now. This was my initial favourite on first listen and it is just 2 minutes and 41 seconds of greatness that is on repeat very often right now in my day to day life.

9) Power -Little Mix

My other stand out on this album. The opening notes just instantly hooked me and from then onwards it had my full attention.

10) Versace on the Floor – Bruno Mars

I first listened to 24K Magic after a pretty shit Friday and it was exactly what I needed to be honest. Just a total party in an album format and it instantly lifted my mood a little which was a great reprieve. This is just such a slick song and behind the title track is my fave.

And thus concludes November’s playlist.

Parentheses count: 3. See you tomorrow!
