My Life

Four Favourites

Hi, Hey, Hello!

I am for sure a little bit more over the place than usual with these posts I am very well aware but I’m just going where the inspiration takes me…and today it has taken me to talk about some of my favourites in the entertainment sphere of things (Again, I got this from a prompt from The SITs Girls, but I modified it slightly and this is where we are at).

Film, TV and music make up a lot of my life, especially music actually and I am also terrible at picking favourites, so this has proved to be a mountain to climb. But I am going to do it nonetheless because that is the point of this post. So, here we go:

This is SO HARD, but the one that comes to me first and the one that I always think is Iris, The Goo Goo Dolls. I don’t know why, but somehow it always comes back to that. I forget about it often, but when I hear it, it’s like coming home to something.

Again, this is like super hard, because music is so important to me and it permeates literally every element of my life, and I have a super eclectic taste which makes narrowing it down across all the genres that I listen to even harder. I mean I could go down so many avenues, but the one that I am going to say is Rumours, Fleetwood Mac. It is just one of the most well put together albums and it has soooo many good songs. I could have chosen so many songs from it and made it my favourite. The dance parites I’ve had to Don’t Stop. The beauty of Songbird. I will forever love Go Your Own Way deeply in my soul. Having said that if you were to ask me again in 10 minutes I would give you a different answer….probably.

Again, I could go down so many routes. There are so many films that I love so much and will always watch whenever I see that they are on. But, the one that I will list today is Beauty and the Beast. Belle is pretty much everything that I want to be in the world and as much as I hate him Gaston is probably the best Disney song ever. And also, the remake was everything I could have hoped for and more and I may or may not have shed a small tear, but you can’t prove anything.

TV Show

Where do I even start here?? I watch a lot of TV…like a lot. But, I’m gonna go with Breaking Bad. Never has a show had such a clear beginning, middle and end. I got invested with those characters so quickly and fell in love with the storytelling from scene 1. And also, it had such a conclusive ending and although I was sad when it ended I felt satisfied because it ended right.

And there we have. I am not joking that this is very much the 4 favourites that I felt compelled to write down at this particular moment. If I were to do this again at any other time, even a couple of minutes from now, then the answer would be different. I love too many things!

Parentheses count: 1. See you tomorrow!
