March Playlist

Hi, Hey, Hello!

It’s the last Sunday of the month, you know the drill people. Happy Easter Sunday and yay to the fact that I don’t have work tomorrow!

1) Something For Nothing – Rationale

I’m gonna open with this because I am surprised that I haven’t included in one before. And well I heard it again a couple of weeks back and I still love it. So here it is.

2) Stressed Out – Twenty-One Pilots

I like this song, that’s the beginning and end of this.

3) Youth – Troye Sivan

I am pretty sure that I am at a stage where if Troye Sivan’s name is next to the title then i am sold. This is no exception.

4) Cake By The Ocean – DNCE

This song has grown on me I have to say. I was kind of indifferent to it when I heard it for the first time. Then I didn’t hear it for a while. And then I heard it again on the radio the other day and it totally improved my mood. So that’s a good thing.

5) Dangerous Woman – Ariana Grande

I don’t know what I expected from this. But it wasn’t this. It was an instant hit for me that gets better every time that I hear it (which is a lot, because Radio 1 exists and it’s my station of choice).

 6) Don’t Worry About Me – Frances

Frances’ voice makes me want to meditate or something. Or maybe in itself it is kind of soothing and meditating. I am so excited for anything she does in the future because every song I have heard of hers so far has been beautiful. This one is just stunning.

7) All That Matters – Finding Neverland

Okay, so when I did Tuesday’s playlist this song was not even on my radar as songs that stood out to me on the soundtrack as a whole. It just sort of passed me by. And then in between me writing that one and this one I really heard this and I legit almost cried about it. And then listened to it on repeat and walked into the office feeling a little bit emotionally compromised.

8) Lush Life – Zara Larsson

This song makes me want to be on a beach or having party in the sun or something. It basically makes me want it to a summer that doesn’t really exist in the UK on a holiday that I am probably not going on any time soon. Good vibes only here.

9) Technicolour Beat – Oh Wonder

While I am talking about holidays I am not going on, this Oh Wonder album is a beauty. And makes me want to go on a road trip (difficult for a few reasons, 1) I don’t drive, 2) no car, 3) it distinctly makes me want to go on a US road trip and I live in London…). There are too many songs that I love that could have ended up on this list, but this is the one I went with. They are all great, you should give it a listen.

10) Be My Husband – Nina Simone

I was minding my own business when the universe decided it wanted to remind me that this song existed. I am not mad about it or anything because it’s a great song, but yeah. It crept up on me out of nowhere. And now it can do the same to you.

Another month’s playlist done, parentheses count: 2.

See you tomorrow, where I am finally within the week where I will finally explain what that project that I have been talking about ambiguously for a while now is!
